Larger habitcal for remarks?
I think it would be so cool to be able to enter remarks on it, like change in weight or some other thing, but I realize I am a spoiled brat.

I would trade some days of being an Urban Ranger to being a country Ranger. Have you ever been a country ranger? I have and I hate it so much I now only walk around my perimeter. I'm a born urban ranger (from New Jersey), then moved to Texas (Austin) and now am an exile in the middle of nowhere (lo...

Reinhard, I use FitDay. It has all those cute little report modules and graphs, plus it keeps my nutrition in check. I only weigh myself 5 days a week at the gym because I don't own a scale. :D I'm also trying to chart water gains because I'm menopausal and hypothyroid, both of which are hell for wa...

111 pounds!!!!!! :D I decided to give myself a treat: when I reach 100, I'll fly home to Philadelphia. I'll lose the last 5 "icing" pounds walking around a city like a normal person. (0845-0930) Walk 15 minutes, elliptical trainer at 9 cal/min x 20 min at gym Breakfast (1000): 1 piece pita pizza wit...

Beginning of Monday -- NO WEIGHT GAINED. Must be the "shock the body" principle of not letting it get used to starvation. 8) Removed 100 calories from breakfast, leaving grapefruit, banana, flax and 2 tb hemp protein (15 g protein). Walked 40 minutes AM, 5 minutes of weights AM. Lunch: salad, beans,...

I'm only a Sugar Addict, but I'm an Addict
After going through my first two S days and bingeing, although not as horribly as i expected, but still eating roughly a day's calories before breakfast today, I confess that I am unsure about this diet. Even though I knew better, even though the stuff didn't taste good at all, I still ate it, and I...

Found what appears to be an 8-10 pound hammer. It works great except I can't figure out how to do hoist sack without killing my back, which is already moribund (bulging disc). Did my first 15 minutes yesterday. All the shoveling type movements and churns were fine. I used the itty mallet for side la...

3aday, I'm sorry your friend had to go through such a thing and I'm glad you reminded me that there are much worse experiences in the world. Three amazing phenomena...
...noted on day 3 (today, an N day) I could not finish my food. My little apple sat there and shrieked so much sweetness at me that I could not respond. Also I was full from a fairly normal bowl (well normal for me, Ziploc 3 cup) of potatoes, zucchini, tomatoes and lentils. My boss yelled that my fa...

Now on No S I still eat the same vegan diet I have for years, but find that when I make a point to add a decent amount of a fat source (olive oils, nuts, seeds, avocado etc.) I feel more satisfied and don’t get hungry so quickly. What I like about No S is that it is the sensible “middle path†...

Kwan, am I reading this right? You are 112 pounds and want to lose 17 more? I hope I'm wrong. That sounds tremendously unhealthy, unless you're about 4'5" tall. I'm 5'0". I have at one point made it to 95 pounds which leaves 5 pounds of wiggle room between that and an "ideal" weight of 100. I would...

Blue, I love your blog, very motivating! I'm about a 90% vegan. The husband is veg (he went when I did), but he won't take the extra plunge, and it's extremely hard to be vegan in the US, especially at work, so I try to be as much as possible. With no S days it's way easier to skip the muffins or pi...

Another over 50 here. :o I was obese my entire life until age 50 when I applied the Buddhist concept of "no-self" to my own self. It means essentially that we're changing every minute, so at any point in time one can go from a binge-er to a Frenchwoman and never return. The first Buddhist precept is...

I believe sugar is a physiological addiction, just as strong as alcohol or cocaine. I also believe based on 40 years of observing my own that reducing (S days) will not solve the problem. So far (about a week) the only thing that seems to work is to reinforce a habit of using a "good" carbohydrate i...

When I told my husband (unemployed programmer/engineer) about Everyday Systems, his response was, "like, duh."
