I love this thread....I think it's my favorite. I've read all the responses at least 3 times... When I was on vacation last week we visited a chocolate factory in Vermont. DELICIOUS!!! I enjoyed every sample without guilt. I bought my hubbie some chocolate & didn't open the package before I gave it ...

Hi Melissa, Thanks for your note. I'm glad to know you're doing well. I absolutely understand about wanting the scales to reflect more loss...but feeling better is certainly the best indicator of what's really going on. I'm fine...I had a lovely week with my two sisters & little girl. It felt wonder...

Hi there! Welcome to the forum & welcome to a great plan. I'm on Day 72 and loving this! I'm absolutely convinced this is the plan to end all diets. The first few weeks are not easy, but nothing worthwhile is, I suppose. I still have difficult days, but I'm trying to accomplish one at a time...and I...

ironlily, Welcome to the forum! I think your "gigantic diet web" is a great visual! I just finished Week 10 and can't imagine wanting to ever go back to a diet again! I refuse to call this plan a "diet" because of exactly what you said..."I have been searching for years to find a way to get back to ...

Welcome back Play_Outside! I'm relatively new (Week 10), so I wasn't around when you originally did this. I'm absolutely convinced though, that this is THE answer. I've done the 3-small children at once thing...and I absolutely understand how hard it is to not snack with little ones. My little ones ...

Hungry girl... Welcome! You've asked a difficult question & I'm not sure what the answer for you is. On one hand, diving in and going cold turkey with no snacks, no sweet & no seconds sets you up for attaining those vital habits of eliminating the extra eating right away. On the other hand, if getti...

Yesterday was an easy GREEN day for me...and it feels wonderful to come back from a vacation and be encouraged about this "diet" instead of depressed that I ate more than I usually do. It was a great vacation & I'm excited about being able to come home & jump right back in. Off to work on another Gr...

I never weigh myself these days. I know about what I weigh when I can fit into certain clothes. And the numbers always trip me up so I've chosen not to weigh at all. I'm much better off not seeing them. You've certainly lost weight already...but I guess you are the only one who will know if the scal...

I think that's exactly it! And how cool is that?! When I was on vacation, I basically ate what I wanted to...and I wanted a LOT less than I would have eaten 2 months ago. I ate ice cream & loved it...I ate pizza and loved it...I ate SECONDS of pizza and loved it...but never in the whole week did I w...

I'm back from Vermont, rested & ready to start up again. I had a couple of RED days, but we stayed far too close to the Ben & Jerry's factory to sneak those days on the calendar as GREEN! But ya know what? I feel completely fine with a couple of REDS. I felt the freedom to enjoy being on vacation an...

Hi Kathleen! I'm checking back in after my week in VT with my sisters. I had hoped to have a green & yellow week, but ended up with a couple red because we were too close to the Ben & Jerry's factory to make them green! HA! These were my first reds in 9 weeks...but that ice cream was delightful! Red...

Joelle, It IS mesmerizing! I'm completely addicted & am so glad I found an artistic outlet...I don't have as much time to devote to it as I want, but I enjoy every minute I have melting glass. Thanks for looking up my shop....Etsy has been wonderful for me. So do you make jewelry? I only make items ...

Today is Day 62...one more day and I'll have 9 weeks on this plan. And not on ly nine weeks, but nine weeks of learning about myself. Of any diet I've ever tried, I've never learned so much about my food-triggers & my emotional eating. AND, even better, I think I'm learning what to DO with my emotio...
