Plates' size

i usually eat less at breakfast than at lunch or dinner. Thus, there is always empty space in my plate.

Does the three plates rule require plates of uniform size?

Will it impair my habit creating if each meal has a different size plate?

I've noted on HabitCal that when I add yellow days (exempt) during weekdays, my score percentage on stats goes down and I miss medals.

Am I supposed to be punished for selecting yellow (exempt) days from Monday to Friday?

Liqueur sugar

According to the USDA data base, listed liqueurs range from 30-56% of total calories.

Since all taste sweet anyway I'll consider them sweets and save them for S days.

Liqueurs???????????

I enjoy liqueurs every now and then. I never indulge more than 2 daily units, as per glassceiling rules.

But, Am I violating N days' no sweets rule if my two alcohol units are liqueurs ? :?: :?:

"I get what you mean, mind. But "toned" is a myth. Either you're putting on muscle or you're not. "

Exactly! To look toned you just need to lose weight for the muscle to show. Not too much though. You don't want to look like a concentration camp survivor.

Post workout drink

I've read where some pundits declared that you should wait at least three hours after your workout before eating because your fasted state will promote creation of fat burning growth hormone. There is always a million contradictory studies that claim to prove the ultimate truth. In reality, nobody r...

What the hell system

Like many, I've also succumbed to the what the hell syndrome. To avoid it, I ask myself: I missed an exit on the expressway, would I crash my car against the guard rails or do I get off on the next exit and comeback? This little mantra has worked for me. But I admit that sometimes extenuating circum...

14 minutes?

Reinhard recommends 14 minutes of exercise during weekdays. This is good but what if I can results as good or better in two minutes per week? According to UK scientists two 20-second cycle sprints on exercise bikes, three times per week, would be as good as or better than five 30-minute sessions of ...

French eat nos?

I just came from a month vacation in France. Noting that overall French are slimmer than Americans - although I did see some fat (not obese) French - Ii asked a few what they ate. This is more or less a general description: Breakfast - an expresso coffee Lunch - a ham and cheese (or other meat) bagg...

Thanks for your kind responses. I got it down to 29 minutes (I purposely included this odd number) which will include interval training, strength training (push ups, pull ups and squats, one set of each), core work (hips, abs, lower back, thigh and hams) and stretching (same as core). However, this ...

Imaginary Eating

A new study provides real evidence for the benefits of imaginary eating. When people imagined themselves eating M&Ms or imagined themselves eating pieces of cheese, they became less likely to actually gorge on the real things. Findings from the study at Carnegie Mellon University were reported in th...

Cannot workout for 14 minutes

I recently started a thread in which, among other things, I said that my current routine was less than the required 14 minutes. http://everydaysystems.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=6966 I adjusted my routine to comply with the 14 minute rule. My problem is that starting this week my routine will exceed 14 ...

WW points system is a calorie counting system.

People I know that were on it eventually fail, even in maintenance, because keeping points' count mentally wears them out . :(

Hi Spudd! Thanks for your response. As far as number 2, before NOS I ate dinner until I burst. That's why I started NOS. Seems to me the plate rule provides an automatic break on food volume. My problem is how to fit the last 2 daily plates in the evening: A. Two at once, or B. Two evening dinners o...
