A small victory

Everybody,

As of today, I have lost 10 pounds on No-S. It's taken me a while (about ten weeks), but I'm happy to say that my rate of weight loss is actually accelerating right now (or maybe I'm just on a temporary burst, who knows). The longer I stick with this, the easier it feels.

I would say, sure, if that's what you want to eat for starters, you should go ahead. During the initial 21-day period I ate some really heavy foods at first, but I found that I naturally gravitated to fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins because that's what kept me feeling full the longest. Eventua...

Re: The fat frenchwoman

Welcome, Rose. I am not very very big (BMI is now 26, that is "overweight") but sufficiently thick-bodied to feel safe from male attention. I am not sure how typical that is (I mean, to feel that one's weight is a protection). Probably extremely common. You're not alone there. Not at all. There have...

Aqua Aerobics is a lot of fun. I did it religiously a few years ago, until the logistics of packing a bathing suit and washing chlorine out of my hair got to be too much. It's a great way to get your heart rate up without overheating or putting stress on your joints.

Was Valentine's Day an S-Day for you?

I ask because I ate some (2) V-Day cookies a friend baked for me yesterday, but it was more because I was moping (my sweetie is in another state) than because I was actually celebrating. But it was a national holiday in the US. I hadn't planned to celebrate it, but when I found the cookies my friend...

What I would be interested in is what people get out of it ... For so many people, food = comfort. I've felt that way myself.
