I've been doing No S for a little over a week now. I've been struggling with this issue, too. I exercise almost every day, and on the days I do more cardio, I get VERY hungry at around 4 PM. I've had some days where I was able to tough it out until 6, but there were a couple of times where I ate at ...

I could see going either way with my salads. If I put a lot of chicken, eggs, or other protein in it, I'd just call it a meal. If I paired it with a slightly smaller dinner and just added vegetables and some dressing to my salad, I'd keep it in a separate bowl.

Thanks. I think I'll definitely stick with the virtual plating then. That seems to work well for me right now. Sometimes, I'll end up having 2-3 plates on my placemat or TV tray, but that's alright. The one plate rule seems to be working pretty well. I've had a couple of dinners where I ended up bei...

Thanks! That helps! I mainly asked, because one of the things I like about this plan is you don't have to worry about counting calories, but I wasn't sure how to control my portions if it wasn't on one plate.

New to No S. Questions about portion sizes.

Hello! I just started No S last week. I'm still loving the concept, and it's not going badly, although I did 'eat like an idiot' this weekend. At least it was a good lesson for me. I just had a question on portions. I know the rule is you're supposed to fit your meal onto one plate. That works well ...

I wouldn't worry about eating it one time, but I totally agree with that link. It matches some of the things I've read in the past about enriched flour and other simple carbs. That's one of the main reasons why I've switched to mostly using whole wheat flour when I do my baking, and that's why I eat...

I'm working on weighing myself less often. Up until now, I've been weighing myself more than once a day on most days. I'm thinking No S will help me with that, since I'm certainly not going to weigh myself on S days, or on Mondays. I also use the tape measurer and the fit of my clothes to keep track...

Hey, I hear you! I had a slip up the other day, so I know where you're coming from (and I just started). Tomorrow's a new day.

Hello! I'm a newbie, and this is my first post. Anyway, I heard about No S from another fitness board I frequently visit. I jsut started it last Friday, because I'm desperate to kick my addiction to sweets. So far, it's going fairly well. I had a slip up day yesterday, so I'm making up for it today.
