Thanks Linda :) Glad its not just me who feels that way! Really striking how many levels of connection I have with food and my emotions, even when I have made so much progress. I guess the biggest difference these days is that I don't often act on those impulses.
Today was success.

Well today was nowhere near as bad as I had feared, thank goodness. Work was fine. The incident I was really worried about was not a problem in the end. My husband's medical appointments went well and he has his first set of chemo drugs to take at home, we will just have to see how he goes. One day ...

That article is a good read. Sounds very similar to some of my own struggles over the years. So easy to buy into the 'thin = good, fat = bad' myth. Sounds as if you are coming to your own conclusions about it, I agree that NoS puts food in its rightful place, its so exhausting having that mental deb...

Without wishing to sound too critical, the method you're describing sounds very complicated! The beauty of NoS lies in its simplicity. I agree with Splandrea, give Vanilla NoS a good chance to work (I'm talking a few months at least). You may well need large plates initially, but as Splandrea says, ...

Hi Linda, I was just reading through your last few entries, I hope you don't mind me commenting. Thanks oolala. I agree, the freedom to choose and the knowledge that I have that freedom of choice is empowering.
Back on it today, always a sense of relief after an eating weekend! Good healthy choices and feel just a little hungry going to bed, which is fine.

I have found a general and rather vague 'No thanks, I'm eating sensibly in the week' seems to satisfy most people's curiosity. In fact, most people care more about their own choices than yours. Out of your options I'd go for 3, you may well find you don't fancy it come the weekend, but at least you ...
