SUCCESS! AND we were away from home for two meals! Hubby was tempted by the huge muffins offered at the college tour, but they didn't bother me at all. No time to post this morning. We got up early and were gone all day checking out a college. Since today is almost over, I contemplated writing this post for both days, but I like the idea of being able to get up in the morning and type SUCCESS! again!

Can't say it was extremely easy, but I can feel the "habit" part kicking in now.
Hubby says we have a couple different sledge hammers, so I'm going to look into shovelgloving today. And as I type my friends are on their way here to get me for our walk, so... gotta run!

Guess what I lost?!!
You thought I was going to say a certain number of pounds, didn't you? Well, that's not what this post is about at all. What I have lost since discovering this way of eating (maybe I should say re -discovering, since it's the way I used to eat when I was young)... what I have lost are feelings of gu...

I have 21 days too! It flew by! I debated with myself about joining today, because I had a few extra s days thrown in there due to the vacation my daughter and I went on, but even on those s-days I was conscious and reasonable around the food. There has not been one binge (or even thoughts of havin...

Day 21: S-Day That completes 21 days for me, but I do not feel entitled to join the 21-day club because of the extra s-days I had in there due to the vacation. To be fair, I feel as if I should have a good three weeks of n-days. Maybe I should say, "to be rigid and a perfectionist." These are the tr...

I committed to only weighing myself on the first three days of the month (morning and night) and taking the average of the 6 weigh-ins as my weight for that month. Each month I will check it again, but not until the first of the month. No arguing with myself about it. That's just the weigh it is for...

Day 20: S-Day Not a bad day. A little snacking, a little dessert after lunch and after dinner. What I imagine "normal" eaters would call a normal day. It's funny how all week I was imagining that I would make a batch of cookie dough and eat my fill of it. Here it is Sunday and I don't think that's g...

Actually, I think I was more of a food snob before! If I was going to be "on a diet" (and by that I mean a REAL diet, not No S, which doesn't seem like a diet at all) then I was going to get the first choice because I was so deprived that I deserved the best and you (other members of my family) coul...

Day 19: SUCCESS! Yesterday was easy. So far today food has been no different than an N Day. We are going out to dinner this evening - a fund-raiser at school, but I don't anticipate too much damage being done. The weighing in for this month ends tonight. There has not been a huge fluctuation in what...

f, I'm standing right beside you bowing three times too. The word diet doesn't quite go with this process, does it? Okay, if we get really literal about it, the word diet does, technically, mean "what we eat." But those of us who have given food so much power over our lives think of a totally differ...

Only is not a positive word to describe a 3 pound loss in 29 days. It's sort of like the name I chose for this forum " Just Jill"....

My first weigh in
Well, this morning I got on the scales for the first time since beginning No S, which was 17 days ago. "Weighing In"
Hi all, I thought I might join this conversation, if you don't mind. I wrote today in my daily check-in that I am trying to figure out what to do about the scales.
