Well, I am too new to give advice probably - but I treat Mon-Fri as green days only if I don't have any sweets, snacks or seconds. Saturdays, Sundays and Special Days I would allow a bit more leeway but not craziness or the work for the entire week would be for naught. I'm not sure what Vanilla S me...

Well, it is Saturday. I weigh 143 this morning and feel thin. Isn't it funny how a few pounds can make a difference, especially in our clothes? Well, I guess it is actually eleven pounds as I started at 154 when I joined here on April 28th. This has been the easiest, most rewarding eating plan I hav...

Thanks guys. I remembered my DAILY check in today... Well, I weighed 144 this morning, let's see if it holds or jumps back to 145. I ate fatfree blueberry yogurt for breakfast with a spoon of flaxseed. Actually I just ate it and it in eleven oclock so maybe it is lunch. We shall see. I will probably...

I agree that removing the constant food chatter has been the biggest blessing. I am free from worrying about it. I eat my meal and forget about it until the next meal. Honestly. BTW, I used to grab a nice soft marshmallow several times a day (I mean, really, it is JUST a little marshmallow) However,...

I too agree with Reinhard. I don't worry about what I will weigh tomorrow, next month or next year. I just plan on staying Green today, tomorrow and next year. (Hey, maybe Al Gore would like this plan.) I have eaten breakfast and lunch. I will eat dinner. I have exercised and drank lots of water. Wh...

Well, get this Nicole. My husband is recovering from serious vascular surgery - has lost weight - and has been ORDERED to have a malt or milkshake every night (mixed with EnsurePlus which is actually pretty good, they even have ButterPecan flavor). So, here I am every night saying, What kind of milk...

Nicole, just wanted to say that I read every word of your "journal". Had to smile when I read (way back there) that your undies were getting loose but it was okay to say so as nobody was reading. You sound delightful and I wish you much luck with your marriage, job and life in general. Continued goo...

Forgot I had a daily check in, Good to read that I weighed 152 on April 30th thought because I weigh 145 today. Thanks to No S. I have weighed 145 for about six or seven days, that's great. I like to stabilize at a weight my body REALLY wants to hold on to, then lose a pound or two because then it w...

I have read several times over the years that our bodies are programmed to hold on to that stubborn ten to twenty pounds that almost everyone finds difficult to lose and keep off because it is a protective factor. During the early lean years when man/woman depended on the occasional Mastadon or what...

Don't even know if this old thread will pull up or not but I have been reading the archives. I am 5 foot 4 or five and charts say I should weigh 120/125 or so. I am small/medium boned but I have exercised my entire life so I have quite a bit of muscle weight. I am sixty years old and the absolute lo...

Still all green here as well. Doing great, down 9 pounds from my join date (almost a month ago) and seven from the beginning of this challenge. I love challenges, keeps me accountable. I like that fact that we are all being honest because we don't fear being judged as we are all in the same boat... ...

You do sound, understandably, overwhelmed. Give this a thought, So much in your life right now is out of your control - your husband being away, your children being - well - little children, the additional chores that must be done, etc. Wouldn't it be great to be in control of SOMETHING? That is wha...

Same here, funny how all the experts insist that one must eat breakfast yet we are all seemingly intelligent contributing members of society. Seemingly being the operative word, of course. If I start eating in the early morning, I don't stop. Since starting the No S plan and giving up snacks ...

I agree, whatever works best for you. Doing something is better than doing nothing, it shows that you are aware and want to change some of your past habits. For me, it is all or nothing I either snack a lot or I don't snack at all. I haven't had a single snack on my No S days for three weeks, not on...

Way to go, it is working for me as well. If anything, I carry it through to the weekends when I really am supposed to "relax".. Well, being in charge is more relaxing to me. I bought a Boston cream pie at the bakery today for company, didn't even want a piece. It actually didn't look that good to me...

I can understand what you are saying. If one is given a set amount, say 1200 calories, charts them - eats that amount, one is finished eating. But, is that any way to live - forever? I think we, as a society, have just forgotten what a normal plate of food looks like. Say you are having dinner - jus...
