Thanks, folks! Your responses are greatly appreciated. I did think about why I had made the choices I did. Partially, I think, it was because I had been to the Dr. and had to step on that damn scale!!!! It showed my 20 pound gain from the year before which so far has not budged. I think I was feelin...

20 pounds in 4 months does not sound like an unreasonable loss assuming you needed to lose to begin with. I doubt that you would lose on this plan if you didn't have excess weight and if you are eating reasonable quantities of food. What have you been eating on a day to day basis? Are you doing some...

I blew it!

I just feel a need to share that I really messed up today. This is the first time since the beginning of January that I lost my focus. Stress does strange things to a person but at the same time I have to take responsibility for choosing to eat not 1 but 2 muffins today. I do feel kind of sick now. ...

I have been working at this plan since the beginning of January. Have I lost weight --- no. Have I gained weight --- no, which is HUGE!! Like you, I have nearly 50 pounds to lose. I will share my insights as to why I haven't shed any pounds. First and most important I have done very little exercise ...

I went to bed without indulging. It didn't kill me!! I knew it wouldn't. That which doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.
Hope you all have a great weekend. I am looking forward to a treat or 2 or 3. :)

I am hungry so guess I better get to bed!

I have not been having snacks for a long time now---since the beginning of January. I am not sure why I am hungry tonight. Perhaps I didn't make good choices for supper. I guess I won't know I am hungry when I am sleeping. Do other people experience evening hunger after not dealing with that ...

Yikes! I have enough trouble controlling my S days without increasing the opportunity. Perhaps one day I will be controlled enough to try that but I can't see it happening without it being the beginning of the end. It is sort of like the elastic that holds up your sweat pants---if it slowly s...

You don't know what you are missing, my friend! It is a Ukrainian food. It is a potato dough cut in small circles and filled with a variety of things but most commonly cheese and potato. One of my sons prefers them filled with only cottage cheese and another one likes the fruit-filled ones. I love t...

This is going in a whole different direction but have you any concerns about sleep apnea? Before I was diagnosed and on CPAP I would close my office door at my coffee break in the afternoon and put my head on my desk and sleep. Your description of your tiredness brought back memories. :)

I guess you are right. There really was no bad news as it turned out. The risk I took was choosing a 'red-light' food and was thinking that it was asking for trouble. Finding out I could handle it is huge!! Thanks for the responses and encouragement.
Keep smiling. :)

I guess it is good news and bad news!

First of all, I am on Day 45 and it is going well. I still haven't weighed and don't feel a need to. The weight isn't falling off but I feel good about myself. The bad news is I chose to cook perogies for supper (def. a red light food for me). The good news is it is the first time I have left the ta...

However, that said--I likely will use an S day on the 14th. I am planning to mke turtles for my husband. I doubt that I will not try them! :D

This is a club that I am very happy to be a member of!! Today I started my second set of 21 days. I really don't find the N days too difficult but I need to work on those S days. It, however, is worth working on. :)

Yes I did it---I did so! 21 days today---Yeah. :D That said I do have to tell you that I don't think that I have lost any weight. I haven't stepped on the scale yet because I don't want to trigger any psychological reasons to stop the program even if the weight hasn't changed. My pants are still too...

No snacking going on here. Once the snacking begins it is over for me! That is why the S days are a bit of a problem but I am working at that too.
How nice that so many folks see the benefits of prunes. Besides being good for you they are yummy. They aren't chocolate but they are good. :)

Dried Fruit

Hi! I have been lurking for a couple of months but have not posted until now. I nearly got through the first 21 days and then I got the flu that lasted into the Christmas season. Yup, I was a gonner after that. I had lost minimal weight, if any, but felt in control and liked that. I started back aga...
