I started on October 14, 2013 counting my bites and within a week or two began to limit my meals/eating episodes to 4 times a day. I did that for a bit and then went to 3 times a day. I lost around 70 lbs in 19 weeks time, I am in my 6th week of weight maintenance and its been over 5 months scince I started....
I tried Vanilla NO S a time or two year(s) ago Without having as many mods, and it just did not work for me. Came back and found that bite counting + No S was perfect for a Lifestyle Change that helped me lose all my weight and something I wanted to do as a Lifesytle Change for Wieght Maintenance
One of the 10 keys in Ann Fletcher's Book Thin For Life is
Do it your Way

The focus of chapter 3 of Thin For Life is how to pick the right diet for weight loss and the message is loud and clear – do it your way! This concept is going to sound very familiar to us here at Maintainers since we’ve discussed this point over and over again – the best diet is the one that comfortably fits your life and that you can follow for the rest of your life.
Both Anne Fletcher’s weight loss masters and NWCR study participants split about evenly between people who lost weight on their own plans and those who were ‘program people’. Not surprisingly, just about every successful maintainer incorporated exercise into their weight loss plan. It’s interesting to note that: “Very few masters lost weight following fad diets. None attributed their success to diet pills.†So the book’s conclusion (p 63) is that:

As much as I’d like to tell you that there is one 'right' way to lose weight, the bottom line, when it comes to selecting a plan to get the weight off, is that the process is highly individual.
I believe that sometimes No S with Mods does work for some poeple. And not every eating style works for everyone. As Ann Fletcher says, do what works for YOU!
And so I have been able to make No S work for me with a few Mods.
My Mods are
1) Bite Counting--putting a portion control system on every N and S day except Capital S days (more later on this)
2) I eat sweets anyday as long as it is within my bite count.
Those are the Mods I do.
My basic way of eating is
** I eat 3 Meals a day
**I usually eat 3 Meals a day on S days
** I allow myself to eat more bites on S days
** I count my bites and stay within my bite goals
**I eat slowly about a minute apart for each bite on N and S days This helps me feel satisfied with a smaller amount of food, helps my body realize its full better . For more information on this and how I do it, Read this post in my blog http://countyourbites.blogspot.com/2013 ... h-big.html
**I have One day a month that I call
Capital S days I can pretty much do what I want on these days when it comes to food, for the most part.
This allows me scheduled days to have a free day and yet, 1 day a month is about perfect for me. 8 days a month like that were too many for me to be able to lose weight with Vanilla No S. One is perfect
I firmly believe in Reinhard's Habit Concept Principle.
When you the same thing, day in and day out, week after week, month after month, you start seeing results from your habits!!
When you dont snack, day in and day out, the weight drops off.
When you dont overeat, day in and day out, you get skinny! ;D
Each habit and each day builds upon the next!
So theres my testemonial.
I also exercise 4 miles every single morning after breakfast, and I find that this is helping my mental health also
I know alot of you have already saw it, but I will put this on my testemonial thread for those who havent...
I have a blog for anyone that might be interested in reading more details how I eat ect
