The Pants ! ! !

Post by Who Me? » Fri Aug 26, 2011 1:55 am

Well, today it happened. I was able to take off a pair of my non-stretchy jeans without actually unbuttoning or unzipping them,

I've been hitching up my jeans for the past week, because I couldn't find my belt. I swear, I walk like a cowboy. I must look like an idiot at work.

While I'm not actually in the pants-falling-down club, I'm pretty pleased.

I have been mildly curious about my actual weight, but really I started this system because I had become sloppy in my eating, and because I didn't like the way my clothes were fitting. I'm hoping to retire some of my "fat" shirts, soon!

That is exciting for you! Clothes and the tape measure are better than the scale really! They dont lie!!

I started using a tape measure and pictures and I like that pretty well.

I know I'm an oddball, but I'm not measuring or weighing of anything like that, because I want this to work in the long-term. I have a bit of an obsessive streak, and if I start fretting over numbers, I won't actually be doing something that's good for me.

This is not to tell anyone else how to behave. I know what my own triggers are, so I made a conscious decision to just work on my habits, and not worry about measurements.

Frankly, this has been slow going. I wasn't seeing big results (or maybe any results) for months. But that's okay, because I also wasn't eating chocolate in bed.

I should also mention that I did the pants-taking-off stunt in the back yard.

I'm feeling very pleased with myself.

You have a lovely blog btw. I practically never read blogs and I have never told anyone that I like their blog but yours is really very nicely done.
