Hi, I found out about No-S from the T-Tapp forums (excellent form of exercise, if anyone's not familiar with it!) and loved the website info. provided here. I will be out and about tomorrow so I also hope to snag a copy of the book. Here's my quick question: I drink V-8 juice frequently, and I have learned to like (and subsequently drink) the low sodium version. I use it to try to get more veggies into my day. Would this be something that I could continue to drink between meals or should I drink it with meals? I really don't drink anything but water and V-8 on a regular basis.
Thanks!

Unless I'm actually going to faint (and by the way, I've never had it happen No Sing), I try to avoid liquids with calories.
That said, it's not against the rules technically. But I'd encourage you to make a hard and fast line if you're going to do that, otherwise you can drink calories all day.
Think about how often the high-calorie S*******s drinks become a meal replacement for some people.

I like V8 juice (and tomato juice), too. There's about 50 calories in 8 ounces, so that's not bad. But I'd use it to increase my vegetable intake only in an emergency. It's not that difficult to get enough veggies (and fruits) in meals. Plus, they're more filling and will help get you to the next meal.
So, I'd say drink water most of the time, use the V8 if you happen to be hungry between meals. It's a good choice -- in fact, I think it's a better choice than milk.
My two cents worth...

I don't see the V-8 as a problem to ward off hunger between meals. I usually drink milk, I only allow an 8oz glass between breakfast and lunch and then another one between lunch and supper, as my meals are 5 hours apart, for all other liquids I drink water. God BLess.

in his heirarchy of soda alternatives Reinhard lists 100% fruit juice ... is V8 100% vegetable juice? probably? ... not even sweet huh?
If this is what you like and water, I say stick with it while you build your three meal a day N Day habit, as you go evaluate if it is working and whether or not you still want it.
I pretty much only drink water between meals, but for people like me who could not drink a glass of whole milk or any kind of milk at gunpoint

V8 maybe a great alternative!
