Nuts..

Post by Brent_Corkins » Tue Jun 01, 2010 3:18 am

OK...Here's my prob. I am insulin resistant and have been doing lots of research and read a great book. The IRdiet. I have learned that I shouldn't eat more than 30 grams of carbs at on setting and that Not to eat starchy carbs with out a protein balance to keep insulin from spiking. Here's where it gets interesting. I like to have a beer at night if I'm just relaxing in front of TV. But in doing so I should balance it out with a protein. In doing so am I wrecking the day or ???

Hi Brent- I mean this playfully- but didn't doing lots of research and reading a great book give you the info that foregoing that glass of beer would do you a world of good compared to figuring out what to eat to off set the effects??

Hi Brent: not clear here, are you asking about how to follow the No S diet? If so, I guess having a snack with your beer on an N day outside of a meal would be against the No S rules.

Was that what you were wanting to know?

Regards, Graham

Just trying to figure out: what is wrong with following the IRdiet as is? What's No S for?
