Feeling sick/queasy?
Ok So I just started this No S diet. I started on a Saturday so I could kind of phase myself into it on an S day. I thought that the whole three meals thing would be way harder than it actually is. I mean I haven't been really too tempted to cheat. However, I am starting to feel really queasy. My stomach is churning and making quenching noises and I am getting dhiarea. I don't want to stop this diet because it is pretty easy for me, but i feel awful. Will my body/digestive system get used to the diet???
I don't think the symptoms you're having are related to No-S. Most likely they're related to something you ate or a virus. Hope you feel better soon!

I agree that it is probably just a slight virus although I do find that I feel a tiny bit quesy early in the morning, especially if I have just coffee and no food. I used to just get up and grab some cookies and a bagel or something (long before breakfast time) but am refraining from doing that now that I am back on track.
Feel better.

I'm not a doctor (well, not a medical doctor, anyway), but I'm going to second/third/fourth the guess that this is an illness rather than a NoS side effect. Unfortunate timing, since you're just starting, but at least it should pass soon. Take two aspirin and call a real doctor in the morning (or in a few days if it doesn't pass on its own). Welcome aboard!
Hope you're feeling better. Keep going! There's just tomorrow before the weekend and you can compare if it makes a difference having snacks. Seems very unlikely that having gaps between meals would cause your problem.

It's either one of two things:
- The stomach thing is completely unrelated.
- Your body is adjusting to eating three meals a day after possibly years of not doing so. If you go off heroin your body will make you sick for a little while too, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't quit heroin.
Obviously if it persists, go see a doctor, but I doubt it's No-S related. No person on earth ever got sick from eating three meals a day.

Unless they were laced with arsenic. Any old ladies that might want to kill you? Gosh, I hope people here aren't too young to get that joke.

You know the only times I have felt sick or queasy is when I am on my S days and bringing back the sugary treats - which is so odd to me because my body never rejected treats prior to No S! I think my choices have just been so much healthier that my body is like - hold on, don't feed me crap!
Glad you are feeling better! Keep on keeping on - NoS will change you for the better!

Have you been in the same room as "talk at ya" recently? Maybe you caught the same bug?July2010 wrote:This is day 2 for me and I've feeling queasy as well and have a headache. I hope I am eatting enough, but I'm doing well otherwise. I'm sure it'll get easier as I go.
At any rate, yes, do make sure you're eating enough -- it sounds odd to say, but it's very easy (at first) to underestimate the size your meals, if you're used to making up for it by snacking between them.
It could be a stomach bug but it could also be your body is adjusting to fewer meals (meaning it has to secrete less insulin during the day) and if you are eating more healthful meals, then your body may be detoxing a it.
When I went gluten free I had a lot of nausea and diarrhea as my body seemed to be purging.
HOw are you doin now?
