Day 1 for me

Post by flutterby7 » Tue Jan 04, 2011 9:51 pm

ok, so I ran across the no s diet on a blog I was reading yesterday which in turn got me to do more reading. I think this makes total sense! I am a horrible snacker, even when I am not hungry I will graze. And what is wrong with being hungry for a 1/2 hour or so? I don't get that argument, it's not like our bodies will go into fat storing starvation mode if our stomachs growl for 30 minutes. Anyway, I decided to try it. today is day one so my mantra has been " no snacks, no sweets, no seconds" all day long.... I have done pretty well so far. I have a lot of weight to lose, and I mean a lot, but I hate obsessive calorire counting and those stupid snack bars, don't even get me started! Honestly, one time I ate like 4 of the damn things at once, what is the point! I think this will make sense for me in the long haul. so, we will see.............

This my second day....so welcome! I have a lot to lose too! But I am trying to not think about weight and instead trying to form a good habit that can relieve me of obsessing about food and weight....because otherwise it will just consume me! Be lucky! Mj

Well, day 1 went pretty well until dinner time. why do i feel the need to finish off what my kids have left on their plates? UGH! No snacks or sweets yesterday though. so yeah me! Day 2 good so far, breakfast and lunch went great (oatmeal, oj and cofee for B; yummy salad with chicken for lunch). I think I'm taking the kids out for dinner tonight which should actually be easier because we never take to go boxes home with us anyway so no seconds there. I'll keep you posted
