New Way for ME

I have about 15 lbs to lose. I have done NOS for quite some time, but for the past few years....not so great.

My take on NOS this time is three plates a day, but I can have anything. If I want a pile of chocolate on Wednesday for my meal -- that is what I will have. My goal is to take away the thought that anything is forbidden to me. I think that is what sugars allure is to me -- I can't have it unless I'm cheating or it's a certain time of the week so I WANT it more than anything.

I'm weighing in at 166 -- and I will post every thursday until I've lost my 15 pounds.

I have three months to lose this weight because of something I am attending.

Welcome, Sandy. I definitely agree that taking away the allure of foods being forbidden helps a lot. The other key for me is to be more focused while I am eating. A lot of times I'll just mindlessly eat, and I won't even enjoy my meal. If I take more time to really enjoy what I'm eating, then I find that I am satisfied with less food.

Good luck!

Decided my previous post wasn't as supportive as I'd like to be.

You go, girl! I'm sure you will learn what you need to as you go.

Not bad - first week 3 lbs - 12 lbs left to lose before surgery.

I found I over indulged once on Sunday night with apple crisp - 2 helpings. Other than that pretty healthy.

Thank you for your comments.

That's amazing and wonderful for you, especially since you don't really have that much to lose! And an extra serving of apple crisp sounds like a minor overage.

So glad you are recommtting. I've never left completely but have been wobbling for several months. Really helps to read of those who are re-workin' it.

See you next Thursday!
