Re-introducing myself

I've been away for over a year and have lost my motivation. Now I'm back and even bigger than before. I now am handicapped by my weight. I need to reduce my weight to even function. I can't stand up for more than 15 minutes. My knees feel like they've been smashed with a hammer and my lower back and feet hurt. I'm setting a goal for 10% of my body weight at a time.

I'm back to No S and want to try Vanilla No S for a month and see what happens.

Welcome home!

If you really HAVE to lose weight, you DO have motivation. Every time you feel like going off the plan, think: is this worth not being able to stand? Is this worth the condition my knees are in? The pain in my back and feet? Don't I deserve to see if I can reverse this even while I eat delicious meals?

When I started, I made a list of the reasons eating sanely was such a good idea and read it several times a day for WEEKS and every day for about a year. It was integral in being able to stick to the plan. Those reasons popped into my head at the right time very often. Also, the thought, "THIS is the moment I have to say no!" when the urges came. It wasn't easy, but easier than a diet and failure.

Imagine how much better you are going to feel after six months of success!

Thanks so much for the warm welcome back and the sound advice. Piggingg out is not worth not being able to stand or pain in my back and feet. I'm really hoping that this time around will bring success.

Hi mrsj, welcome back.
Sounds as if we're in rather similar situations, so I wish you all the best as I'm also re-starting.
