Sanity at last
I am currently doing my first day of No S! Can't type very well because I also just did my first ever Shovelglove session and my arms feel a bit shaky!
Just wanted to say that I've browsed the site, read the book (yesterday) and am definitely having that 'Ummm, why didn't I think of that?' moment. It is very refreshing to read such (humorous) common sense after years of veering between low carb, low fat, low calorie nonsense. I am utterly sick and tired of thinking about my diet all the time. Looking forward to a green square on my calendar at the end of the day!

Weeellll... you learn something new every day! I can't say I know a great deal about hardcore punk bands...
Day two going well. Does anyone else find that having a late lunch really helps? I'm hungry, but I know that if I have lunch early, my willpower might not be strong enough to resist a 4pm snack when the kids come home from school - especially as one of them will be bringing chocolate cake...

Welcome!
I'd say you didn't think of it because the idea that we should be able to eat whenever the whim strikes us is pretty ingrained! And there is food all over the place ready to be satisfy the urge.
But you're right that it really does make sense that no one starves eating three meals a day.
Not sure what you mean by a late lunch. I'm more affected by what I actually have to do between lunch and dinner than the time of my meals. If I have something very specific to do that is either pleasant or at least not onerous, I hardly think about snacking. Unfortunately, that doesn't happen often, but it's still worth sticking it out.

Thanks for the welcome! Well I'm usually at home at lunch time (I work very part time ) and I tend to have lunch as early as seems reasonable, so usually 12:00. But if I can hold out until 1:00 or 1:30 I find it much easier to get through to dinner time without being desperate for a snack. I'm making sure I have a pretty big lunch too (still one plate though!). Might be able to reduce portions a bit over time.
During the school year, our lunch (I'm a teacher) starts at 12:40 p.m., which is lucky; many schools break an hour earlier. Between sessions I aim for between 1 and 2. I still often get that antsy, snacky feeling, though. But I agree 1 is better.

I started S days with pancakes for weeks! I'd been over it for a long time, but just had them today! Still love 'em.
