Dried fruit

Relative newbie here; I've tried No S a couple times for brief periods in the past, and have returned to give it a real try.
I have what I hope is a simple question: Is dried fruit okay on a NoS day?
My husband bought some dried figs, and I'm thinking of adding a few to my plate for dinner. They don't have added sugar, but they are fairly high in natural sugar (20 grams in a serving).
So should I limit them to S days, or are they okay to eat on a weekday?

Is dried fruit really what you want to eat for a meal? And I like dried fruit.

It wouldn't be the entire meal. I'm just thinking I would put a few dried figs on my plate, along with the other things I will have for dinner.
Or am I misunderstanding your question? (It sounds as if you think my entire meal would consist of dried figs?)
Maybe I didn't phrase my question well. I'm just wondering if dried figs (and other dried fruit) are considered sweets (and therefore not allowed on N days) because of the somewhat high amount of natural sugar in them.

I would think they are fine. Have as many as you might have for a moderate serving if they weren't dried.
I know their taste is primarily sweet, but I think it's really the heavily sweetened items that we're meant to avoid.

I do in moderation sometimes (like raisins). I think dried figs sound lovely! I do watch dried fruit just because the natural sugar is so high, but they're totally "legal." Enjoy!

Welcome, merejane!
I put dried fruit in my oatmeal almost every single day, so totally fine, as far as I'm concerned.

We often have a bit of dried fruit with nuts as part of our meal. I generally serve it last so it feels a bit dessert-like--a light, sweet, healthy finish to our meal.
I say GO FOR IT if you enjoy it!

Thanks so much, everyone! I am now looking forward to dried figs (just a few!) on my dinner plate tonight.
