Everyday Systems

I just discovered that multiple PM's I've written going back to 2010 are in my outbox rather than my sent box. Does anyone know why messages get put in outbox in the first place, and why they wouldn't leave? I'll post this on the tech forum, too, but I think I'll get a faster response here.

oolala--This is just a guess, but does it mean the recipient hasn't read the PM yet?--i.e., the PM stays in the "Outbox," then becomes "Sent" once it is opened and read. I'm not sure. I'll be interested to see what the explanation is, so please keep us posted!

I've had other emails in the sent box for long periods of time before the person read and responded, but maybe that happens for some unknown reason. Oh, well.

Testing theory out with Gill. She said a test email she had jst sent was in outbox, I read both of hers and asked if any were still there. She's in England and possibly at a time of say inconvenient to respond. Pending.

I've just sent a pm and note it is in the outbox and not the sent. Be interested to hear if this means it hasn't sent as I can't see how to move it on?

One of my messages that was stuck in the outbox has received a response and is now in "sent" and "out"

I think that's the explanation. Maybe the email alert got buried, or the person lost interest. OMGosh, someone who doesn't read MY emails?
