Lyrica

I take Lyrica for a spinal deformity I have had since birth. As I get older it gets worse. Lyrica makes me gain up to 20 lbs. It is like my hunger mechanism does not turn off. Plus there is water retention. The first few days after I quit taking it I make a lot of water. Unfortunately, when I do not take Lyrica I can barely stand to have anything touching me, or living in Idaho the cold is almost unbearable. (I have found Lyrica is just as hard to quit as Narco.) So, I try to have a plan to at least slow down the weight gain.

Just thought I'd share.

I am so sorry to hear of your pain & the struggles Lyrica causes.

Is moving to a more favorable climate at all an option for you?
I ask because many years ago I had a friend who suffered greatly with post-polio syndrome, & Montana's climate was literally killing her. Moving away from the altitude, cold, dryness, sudden pressure changes, temperature extremes, etc. proved a miracle cure for her. When I visited 10 years after her move, she was a new person (as in, out of a wheelchair and remodeling an old house).
