Introduction from a Newbie

Hi all -- I just wanted to introduce myself and say how excited I am to join this community of blessedly sane people. When I stumbled on Reinhard's No S diet site, I breathed a sigh of relief... here was the holy grail I had been searching for, for years. As a scarred and beaten veteran of many different weight loss plans over the years (Weight Watchers, Atkins, Sugar Busters, the T-factor diet -- anybody remember that one?), I had long wondered if an ultra-simple approach like Reinhard's would actually work. And here it is, proof! So needless to say, I was overjoyed to read about the plan.

My wife is joining me on this project, as she has on most of the other plans. We'll provide plenty of updates!!

P.S. I bought a sledgehammer last night too. :D

Welcome, and good luck!

I've adopted No-S as my lifestyle for the last few years. I've fallen off the wagon from time to time, but I'm happier, lighter, and more in control than ever before.

Shovelglove is great exercise, ever-changing and adjustable, practical, and fun.

Good luck with both.

One thing to keep in mind. No-S is simple, but it isn't always easy. Sometimes it takes will power and effort.

I remember T-Factor. It eventually led me into several years of the McDougall Program.

I'm glad you're both here. No-S is the greatest!

Double welcome, randallh! Double double welcome I guess. To you and your wife, and to two systems.

Most important piece of advice: be patient. It may take a while to get the behaviors right, and it may take a while to see results.

Best of luck and keep us posted,

Reinhard

I think I have found the diet of the 1950's I grew up on..."Eat your three meals and leave the sugar alone, and a treat for special days, and go out and play " It was all balanced, practical, moderate, delicious, and I burned it off and was a little twig.... I am glad someone with the intelligence and fortitude made this available to all of us who got sidetracked. I feel "Welcomed Home." Thank you.
