I had a group lunch meeting today, where we had sandwiches provided. Platter of lots of little sandwiches, and people took several.

White bread, small amounts of meat. I ate two, and allowed myself an apple later since there were no real veggies/fruits in the meal other than lettuce on the sandwiches.

I'm RAVENOUS. Normally, I eat home-cooked food for lunch with a lot of veg and fiber. Not really more food, but more filling.

Sigh. Gonna be a long time until supper. ::off to get some hot Red Zinger tea::

It's been a while since I've felt this hungry on No-S.

tea is good on hungry days like this. What you eat really does matter as much as how much you eat, I've discovered.

Small triangular sandwiches are one of my few weaknesses. I find that, if they're provided, I can generally just stack a (virtual) plate with two rounds' worth and eat those.

Not that I find myself hungry often anymore (I've gotten REALLY good at budgeting meal size over the years, plus habit has taught appetite to stay in the cage still mealtime), but when I do, black coffee does wonders. The wonderful thing about coffee is that it's got this immoral bad boy vibe, even though it's not actually bad for you (in fact, in moderation, it's quite good). The perfect distraction for rebellious grumbling. Plus it's free, where I work.
