Finally a diet I think I can do

I really hope this one works because it's definitely a "real world" diet. I've tried everything out there and WW's three times. WW's works for me but I think about food all the time when i'm doing WW's and that is often a downfall.
I started this one two days ago and I've started exercising more. I'm thinking even if I get more calories and fat than I had been with working out and cutting out the snacks, sweets and seconds...it should even out. Even if I only lose a pound a week, a pound is a pound. I only want to lose 15-20 lbs and what most people don't realize is it's usually just as harder or harder to lose lower amounts of weight as it is to lose the bigger numbers.
I'm also 39 about to hit 40 and i'm starting to see the results of a slower metabolism and perimenopause on my female body. I'm very excited about this diet and emailed a few friends last night who have called me today at work eager to check out the website.
For me, I can give up sweets, seconds and snacks if it means I get to enjoy the foods I love in my three meals a day. Sweets and seconds have never been an issue with me to begin with, but my cravings have always been salty snacks so now knowing I can enjoy those from time to time makes doing the right thing 5 days out of seven, not seem like such an unobtainable goal! PLEASE WORK, PLEASE WORK, PLEASE WORK.
