Success in week 5!

hey guys,
my first few weeks i didn't see a difference. my start weight was 157.
i didn't weigh myself until a week ago, and i was so excited to see 155!
then on saturday i weighed 151.5!!!! and I can see the 5lbs! I'm aware that scales are not always reliable, but the boost i got from seeing that number is amazing!

based on the posts i've read this month, FAQ's:
- started No-S march 30th, 2008
-Yes, i exercise. Goal is 3 times a week, mix of cardio and weights.
-Yes, i ate all sorts of good stuff on S-days (snacks, sweets etc)
-Yes, I ate solid meals - but no diet foods (ie. i DID have cheese and mayo on my sandwich)

Hopefully this encourages some newer people! I don't anticipate losing 5lbs every month, but I know i can eat this way for life, and that is the best news of all.

Congratulations, Amyliz! That *does* encourage me, as I've only been doing this for just over 2 weeks now, and I was really discouraged when I jumped on the scale too quickly (end of week one) and saw no change.

I'm now part of the "NoS = No Scale" club, and won't be weighing myself again until June. But, I'm so glad to hear that this DOES work... thank you for the encouragement! :D

(it helps that we started at basically the same weight, too) LOL ;)

Hey Jaymiz,
i'm still in the no scale club too, I'm only weighing in on a monthly basis. it was tempting to get on the scale the day after i saw the 151.5, but then i thought 'if it happens to go up a pound or two, I'll be so disappointed'
I'm staying away until June 1st.

good luck!
