Everyday Systems

Well, you know they say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. For me, this is trying to alleviate physical pain (headache, backache, whatever) with sugar. Finally had to admit to myself this week, after field day with my son, that it has never worked except for the moment when the treat is actually in my mouth. (Who invented sack races, anyway?) So, I'm resolved to take pain medicine instead of sweets for my pain from now on.
