Hello All,
Our son just called us from Folk Polk LA to tell us that hurricane Rita will be hitting there where he is. He said that all the counties around the base are being evacuated right now. I asked if the base was being evacuated and he said "no mom, we are the army we can't abandon our base". I think it is so sad that while so many people are still dealing with the aftermath of Katrina and now another one is hitting them over there. My prays will be going to them over there as they were when Katrina was happening

Heard from our Son who is stationed in LA yesterday. He is fine. He did have a close call when the glass out of his window blew out and embedded into the floor 4" from his head where he was sleeping on the floor. So to all of you who were praying, thank you
