I have started "Superhydrating" as suggested by Ellington Darden in "Living Longer Stronger". Drinking up to a gallon a day, the majority before 5 PM. Ice cold, the theory is it lowers the body temp, and you burn calories to get your temp up to 96.7 degrees.

We'll see how that tops out.

Actually it will probably work due to all of the running to the bathroom you're going to be doing.

I've recently read that most people don't have to drink 8 glasses of water a day (2 quarts) as per what we're told to do. I couldn't even imagine guzzling a gallon of ice cold water a day (esp in the winter).

Good luck - let us know the results!

I usually drink close to a gallon of water a day but not ice cold. I carry a jug in my truck while working and when it's hot, the water is warm. In winter the water is cold.

tend to drink lots of water, 2-3 L a day, whenever I drink more it feels like I am drinking water all day and I just don't like it,

Just be careful if you take medications..it is possible to drink so much water that you flush your medications right through your system, so that you will react as if you missed taking it!
