Encouraging news

Post by vmsurbat » Sat Aug 02, 2008 5:32 pm

I've been at NoS for three weeks and had determined to step on the scale only at the beginning of each month. I've been pretty satisfied with my NoS and walking these past few weeks as far as habit-building goes (thrilled, actually--HabitCal is a GREAT tool), but it didn't seem like I was doing all that much towards actually losing weight. (The old "no pain, no gain" adage running through my mind).

Well! My hopeful thoughts of the jeans fitting a bit looser were not deceiving me! Stepped on the scale yesterday. Down 3 lbs! An inch off the waist! Woohoo!

The best part is building good habits for a LIFETIME. The icing was the "not anticipated but glad to see" weight loss.

Hope this encourages someone out there to keep on keeping on.

Wonderful, congratulations!

Nice to see how focused you are on behavior and the long term -- but results can't hurt :-).
