The "My Pants Fell Down" Club.....

I saw Reinhard mention this on Freakwitch's log, and realized that this is definitely a worthy club to aspire being in! So credit to Reinhard!

I don't know what time frame you would use, but I think the main credential to post here would be at any time that your pants fell down from a recent loss... Therefore you could be in it many times over...

This has happened to me several times over the year, and each time it felt so good!!! Way better than any other size indicator...
It is also very embarrassing when it happens and funny!!!
When our bodies gravitate south, it's depressing, but when our pant do it, it's awesome!!! LOL...

Infact, it happened to me the other day...
I was running to get something I had forgotten, from the house and I was in a big hurry... Well, a new male friend was waiting in his car behind me, as I was attempting to run without too much of an earth quake, and it was soooooo funny, because my pants just kept on slipping down my butt as I took a few strides!!! :P
I truly hope he didn't get mooned, but it is very possible! I usually like choosing the moments when I moon people!!! Maybe I'll ask him one day!!! LOL.....

Well I wish you all loose pants and belt notches down (FW tribute...LOL)
Post here when something similar happens to YOU!!!

Peace and Love,
8) Deb

I'd be careful, some people check this board during work hours, and a "pants falling down club" might be deemed inappropriate at some places of employment. :)

Well, they haven't fallen down yet, but I am back in MOST of them that have been ignored hanging in the closet... so can we start a "back in your pants" club too??

Yeah! It's great to be back in your pants. I'm gradually reclaiming the items in my wardrobe too.

I have a helpful mother who takes in waistbands, but I came pretty close to losing my trousers. I finally decided it was ridiculous walking around with a good fistfull of extra material on each side of my pants, so I went shopping on my monday lunch break and found that (in trousers at least) I've gone from a large-size-20 to a large-size-16 (since June!), and that I can now fit into normal-size-18 in normal clothings stores (and the occasional 16). So that's exciting, and tomorrow I'll pick the new trousers up from layby and no longer wear what one of the solicitors at work has referred to as my "clown pants".

Well, I went for a run yesterday with the hash, and my knickers kept trying to fall down inside my jogging pants!

cheers NoS. You owe me some new underwear. I guess this qualifies me for the 'My pants fell down' club!

I wrote a little about it on my daily checkin too. The Amsterdam Hash House Harriers http://www.harrier.nl have given me my name because of it!

Love from "Droopy Drawers"

That is great CJ!!!
Great that you are still "hashing", and especially great news about your
ankle-bound undies!

It's so much nicer than that old feeling of everything constantly getting tighter around the middle!

I haven't felt that for ages!

Have a great day, and why not celebrate and treat yourself some new ultra fancy, super luxurious lingerie?

ps.. I would have loved to watch you running that day! I bet you looked really funny grabbing at your bottom the whole time!! LOL....
ha ha...

Pants Fall Down and Back in Pants

I just found this site today, Jan. 23, 2006; gee, I wonder if everyone is gone now, or what, as the posts are kinda old. Let me know because I thought this was such a cool site and stumbled on it inadvertently when I was googling about the BASIS for the Sonoma Diet, of which I am suspect, and I saw the NO S Diet instead; so simple and so true.
I sure would like to have my pants fall off.

It's still up and running Krazy Kat!
Although not everyone posts as manically as I do, they are here..
Some people, we can assume, only post when they hit some personal landmark, and probably some people don't stick with it.. But check out the "Daily checkin's" page, and you'll see that people post there to track their progress... Some post daily, or hourly (in my case! LOL..)
and some post once in a blue moon.. Even our great founder Reinhard, as he became a Daddy midway through NoS's evolution...
It is the most non BS diet you will ever find... Bar none!
And,,,, it works!!!

I say just give it a shot.. You'll love it.. And it doesn't cost a penny...

You can start a "Daily Checkin" thread of your own..

Good luck!
Peace and Love,

This posting thread has a lot of old stuff on, cos I had to go digging to find it! It takes a couple of months before your underwear starts heading south on it's own

Most of the other threads are much more current though, and as Deb says, Check out the 'Daily Checkins'.

Congratulations, carolojo, and thank you for reviving this worthy but long neglected thread!

Welcome KrazyKat. Posting volume is actually growing and growing... There are a lot of old posts hanging around, but that's because I don't ever delete them. As you see from this thread (which started many months ago) old posts can often still be worth reading (and responding to).

The poor south beach diet... first it rips off the atkins diet and now a bevy of other glamorous place name diets are ripping it off (I've also seen "nantucket"). I wonder what aspect of sonoma, if it makes it, will get ripped off by the next fad? Maybe the "Last Resort Diet:" "studies show that people who can afford to vacation at fancy resorts are significantly slimmer than the unwashed masses..."

"Last resort diet"?

I guess I'm a member. I wasi n size 22 pants until November when I had both sides stitched up but my pants were still sliding downward. Had a bunch of extra material around my legs and it was just ridiculous.
Found out that I'm a comfortable size 18 now :) so who knows maybe this time next year I'll be a 14?! One can only hope.

I'm a member! I'm a member! I want a little club badge! (how about an icon or avatar?)

Well I wear a belt so they didn't actually fall down. But last year's almost too tight to wear jeans are now very loose, and new jeans I bought last August are now loose too! They definitely fall down if I don't wear the belt.

(I bought them at a perfect fit, wanting to be reasonable for once instead of buying too small clothes I would never get to wear... sometimes the everyday systems mentality has strange results. Get more reasonable with the eating, get more reasonable with the clothes buying, end up with too large clothes.)

Bayonne Diet - LOL

As a native New Yorker, I can attest to that title not being quite as alluring as South Beach! I'm headed to New York next week. Perhaps, I need to hop over to Jersey for a second look?

I also agree with Plumber's Crack being entitlement to posting in this thread. 8)

I will be happy with lose pants, thrilled getting into the pants that I have waiting for me and over-the-moon when my pants fall down! This is the funniest diet I have ever been on. And the most fun! I haven't been noSing for very long, but I can feel the difference. It just makes so much sense, doesn't it?

I love the HabitCal where I can track my days at the gym, my No S days, my Urban Ranger and Yoga days. No more points counting for me.

Yeah I am waiting for my pants to fall down too. i also have a lot of pants in my closet waiting on me to wear. most of them i have only worn about once or twice right after i came home from giving birth to my 16 month old little boy. before i had him i was a size 0 now i am a size 12 i am not saying that i want to be that small again but i would love to be in a size three and six. do you know if you have to exercise on this diet or does exercising just speed up the process? whats the most anybody has lost so far? i am not weighting in until after three weeks. or should i wait longer?

My capris from two summers ago fit perfectly now. I'll give you that they have a little give in them, but there's no way they would have fit before I started noSing. I was looking at having to buy a whole new summer wardrobe in a bigger size. Not anymore :D

I've lost about 13/14 pounds in the six months I've been on NoS and my pants are definitely too big. I have to keep them up with a belt. Heeeheee.

Just to let you know, I posted the quote below 5 and a half years ago, and I'm steady at about a 20-25 weight loss from then...keep it up, you can do it!

"And my pants are falling down today. I had picked them up from the dry cleaner's and left them in my office, then put them on when I got here this morning. They used to fit and now are too big. It's a fine problem to have and I very much prefer it to the alternative...but nevertheless I look like a jackass because, well, my pants are falling down."

My pants haven't fallen yet :( but my belt keeps getting notched tighter!
My work pants are looking awkwardly baggy.. never had a problem like this before. It's bittersweet I guess- don't like looking awkwardly dressed, but I do like being smaller!

Well, luckily, none have fallen off of me but there are several pair of dress slacks that I can no longer wear to work because they are a bit too baggy in the rear and thighs. That's fine, the ones that were too tight in the middle now fit :D

Uh-oh, I had a stack of pants and clamdiggers up in the closet that I had bought at thrift stores for a buck each. I told myself on Jan . 1 that if I couldn't at least zip them up on Mar. 21, I would give them away, but let myself off the hook, saying I would give myself until June 20. Which draws near...

My pants didn't fall down, but I am wearing my former size jeans today!! My journey over the past year was tight 14, fitting 14, loose 14, and today I am wearing somewhat tight 12.

I look forward to wearing a somewhat tight 10 next year. :D

My work pants are definitely too loose and I think it is time to replace them. I am going to check out the thrift store tonight and see if I can get lucky. No use spending a lot of money on pants I hope to spend less than a year in!

I'm always getting compliments on pants I get at thrift stores. I've found some with the tags still in them! I guess they're from someone who bought them to try to inspire herself but ended up outgrowing them. I don't think that tactic works with many...

I didn't find any pants at the thrift store (so I will try JCPenney today), but I bought another pair of "skinny" jeans (i.e., they don't quite fit yet). I know it is a bit silly to buy jeans that don't fit, but they were only $4 ($3.56 plus I donated my $0.44 change) and looked brand new.

I look forward to fitting into all my skinny jeans in a couple of months. Yea, No S! :D
