What is "Vanilla No-S"? I'm seeing this word around the board and I'm not sure what that means.

Could someone please enlighten me?

Thank you! :)

Just like vanilla ice cream-no added toppings, no fancy ingredients, just plain vanilla.

Vanilla NoS is NoS without any add ons--doing the plan without tweaking.

This is just an American idiom for "plain."

Ummmmm........

I apologise, but I still don't quite understand, especially the "tweaking" and the "add ons".

Will someone please elaborate?

Thank you!

Hi Ting Ting :)

It just means, doing NoS without making any additional restrictions or extra rules or modifications.
Plain NoS, with nothing extra added.

"Vanilla" just represents "Plain"...

So many people often try to change NoS to make it more "Diet like" but it's enough of a challenge to do the plain version..
Why would anyone want to make it more complicated by adding rules?
Hope you understand it better now.

ps.. "Tweak" is a slang phrase which means a little change/modification you make to something, to make it more personalised.
In this case, when people do "tweaks" to NoS, it's to make it a bit more personalised in hopes it will be more successful or livable for them.

You're right. "No S" is difficult to do already by itself, "tweaking" it doesn't make it any easier. I'm already struggling with this diet, any modification would just make it harder for me.

Thank you so much for enlightening me! :D
