Just noticed that I have completed my first 21 days.. And...
And... it has been life changing, seriously.
I want to thank you Reinhold.
I started at a weight of 154, today I weigh 147.
My goal weight is 140.
However, that is not really my goal.
My goal was to gain control of my - gaining ten pounds - losing ten pounds, getting too thin, having to eat more, gaining ten pounds - losing ten pounds, etc. etc. ETC....
Now I , crazy as it sounds , eat three meals a day - no snacks, sweets or seconds.
Relax a little on the weekends.
What a concept. (and all green days!)

Yes, Kathleen, it is a way of life that makes so much sense it seems that there must be a "catch" somewhere. Like someday eating normal meals might be proven to be wrong or something.
I actually should not have even said Relax a little on the weekends. I have been relaxed through the entire process. Have had little desire for snacks or sweets (seconds were never really a problem). I threw out a lemon pound cake that I made the first weekend, had no desire for it - hubby ate a slice or two and then the birds got it.
Went to a Mexican restaurant with my daughter in law during a stop in our all day shopping marathon Saturday. Sat and enjoyed the chips and salsa, had a nice meal, didn't even give the food a thought.
Very freeing.
Thanks to you both for your comments.

A huge congratulations, StrawberryRoan! Correcting disordered eating habits and distorted thinking about food, eating, and body issues is extremely difficult for anyone - regardless of if you have 10 pounds to lose or more. As Kathleen pointed out - losing weight slowly is really a secondary benefit of NoS - and a nice added plus. The most phenomenal aspect of NoS is how it can set your mind free of its stinkin' thinkin' - where weight gain and weight problems all begin! And all of this takes time and incredible patience, I've learned, for me. But I keep at it - that's the key, I believe.

I just love the way you have expressed your "real" goal! Sometimes I get side-tracked and focus exclusively on my progress toward a certain number of pounds, so your post was a great reminder that my real goal is to rid myself of the diet mentality and arrive at a sustainable mature relationship with food via No-S.StrawberryRoan wrote:My goal weight is 140. Congratulations on your 21 days, and thanks for a helpful post! Winnie
