Today is a S (pecial) day for me....
My 5th wedding anniversary.
I was widowed after a blissful 34 year marriage in 2000.
Met a tall, lanky, good looking blue eyed cowboy in 2003 who had been divorced for 16 years and learned that young love refers to the age of the love,
not the lovers. We were married a year later.
He came into my life and made me (and my family) whole again.
We won't be able to go out tonight because he is recovering from serious surgery (and has more planned next Friday) but we are just grateful to be together. I will make a roast with all the trimmings, homemade biscuits and his favorite - a lemon pound cake with lemon glaze. Using REAL lemons.
And I will enjoy every morsel.
Just wanted to share...

Awww, Berry! What a beautiful story! I'm reading this late, but I hope you had a wonderful day and enjoyed every minute spent with your hubby. I am such a sucker for a great love story - and yours sure sounds like one! We all need to make the most of our time with our loved ones.
I'm keeping you and your blue-eyed cowboy in my thoughts and prayers...Happy Anniversary!

Congratulations. You enjoy every scrap of that feast, yum! You both deserve it. I went to see my friend's father who lost his wife two years ago after a long illness. He now has a new lady in his life and it was great to see him happy again. Everybody deserves happiness in life. I hope you have a lovely day and your husband recovers quickly.
