I just learned about No S today. I don't know much yet - but enough to start with.

Dandelion,

Welcome! This is a wonderful adventure...I'm glad you're in!

You mentioned that you didn't know a lot about this plan yet so I'm recommending that you read the book. It's not an expensive purchase, but I really think it's essential to success. I think I've read the whole book about 3 times, and parts of it a dozen! You'll get more information, and understand the reasons behind the plan....a great read for anyone doing this.

Don't be a stranger....we're all here to encourage each other!

Welcome again,
janie

Thanks for the welcome - it's so nice!

I'm afraid I goofed today. So much for day one. Old habits, I suppose.

Dandelion,

No worries...just pick yourself up, brush off the crumbs & start over again. Don't be hard on yourself...it took awhile to have the habits you are trying to get rid of. It might take awhile to change them, but it's so worth it! You're doing fine...just hang in there!

Welcome, Dandelion!

Don't sweat that initial slip up -- it takes most people a few false starts to get the habit to stick.

Yup! And I would be one of those people. This time's the charm, I believe...i'm in my fifth month of NoEssing and it's working very nicely! As many on the boards here say, "Mark it and move on!"

Best wishes on your NoS journey!

Welcome! No S is the most natural way to eat... I know I've tried every diet I came across for 25 years! No S heals from the inside.

That's exactly why I decided to do it. We are 'in' to traditional foods, traditional cooking methods and customs. This fits in with our basic philosophy - but with a more defined framework.

What is really interesting is that my husband - who is a lifelong 'normal eater' and has never been overweight eats this way automatically.

And this is another wonderful thing about No S...it fits into everyone's food preferences. There isn't any time or energy wasted on learning to like foods you normally wouldn't enjoy....or eating things that are just for that one particular diet. Read food...real meals...real sustainable health. I love it.
