Hi!
This is my first day - I must be crazy starting the day before Thanksgiving but i was encouraged by reading the message boards on this topic.

Are there any other crazy newcomers out there?

It's okay to start before Thanksgiving.. :)
Better than after the holidays, once you've already realised you gained 10 lbs...
Thanksgiving is an S day, so enjoy it!
Good luck with NoS you'll love it!

I think that's actually a great time to start because you'll be more aware of your portions during your thanksgiving dinner. if u start to feel full after one plate, you may be less inclined to get those 2nd and 3rd helpings that tend to lead to a downfall. it's nice to know how to combat immoderate behavior during times when they're encouraged. just my take on it...

Something I've noticed the last two Thanksgivings -- I'm only eating one plate, though it has a large variety of food on it. There's just not too much of anything. I'm also not eating much in the way of dessert. Truthfully, I'm not that fond of the desserts most associated with Thanksgiving.

How's it going used2bskinny? I'm a newcomer as well. My first day is actually today. I decided to start on Dec. 1st.....easier for me to keep track of that way. I'm weird like that! Hope it is going well for you!

Welcome used2bskinny and ZippaDee!

The advantage of starting now is if you can make it through the next month, you can make it through anything.

Just don't set your expectations to high. Maintenance is progress this time of year.

Best,

Reinhard
