I hereby declare in the presence of my behavior adapting inforcing special officers (my kids) and all who read this that I will begin Vanilla No S anew. In an effort to eat well and become more fit and healthy, I will follow the Vanilla No S rules... exactly!
No Sweets no Snacks no Seconds except (sometimes) on days that start with S.

signed... Renee'

Anyone else want to make a bold public declaration of any kind?

I don't know if I feel as bold as you do, but I want at least to make public my intention to rejoin the fold. It's been about a year since I left No S. I'm turning forty this month  I'm ten or twelve pounds up from where I want to be. Other things I've tried have obviously NOT worked out very well. Best wishes to you on your Vanilla No S journey. I am with you!

Hahaha, when I saw the subject line for this post I immediately imagined myself running outside and shouting "I LOVE NO-S!!!!!!" for the whole neighborhood to hear. Maybe I should do that sometime--it could help a lot of people.

If you do it, marygrace, videotape it.

I don't know what kind of weight loss help it would give, but I ALWAYS find a laugh helpful!

My bold declaration:

I will stick to vanilla No S for the complete duration of final exams!!

This is bolder than it sounds. Last year, I pretty much ate gummi bears round the clock for weeks to keep my energy up and keep me focused. After finals, I looked like a gummi bear!

Should have clarified! It would help if lots of people were around to hear me and bothered to ask, "What's No-S?" instead of looking at me like I'm a lunatic.

I can't believe how appropo this is for me right now. I just finished the second of five days of administering one-on-one oral exams on literature, and the tension from the kids plus my own fear of making them look bad when I want to help them do well had me thinking when I was out on an errand that it would be a great day to go to Little Caesar's and pig out on pizza. I actually have a big slice in the freezer at home. I just have to make it through another 2 hours before I can heat it up and have it on my plate--with veggies and a piece of pork that's been in the slow cooker all day.

Have taken only 2 extra S-days (but they were doozies) since Jan. 1. I think that still qualifies me for Vanilla No S!

This is going to be my mantra: "There's no "S" better than Vanilla No S." In fact, I'm going to put that on the thread for pithy sayings. Or maybe that's where I got it?

I HEREBY PUBLICLY DECLARE THAT I WILL STICK TO VANILLA NO S.

I ALSO DECLARE THAT I WILL FROM THIS DAY FORWARD FORCE MYSELF TO EAT BREAKFAST.

I'm making the breakfast declaration because I usually don't eat until about 11 a.m. Then I'm insatiable.

I jumped off of No S for my son's birthday and easter (2 weekends on a trot) and just stayed off for another week just because (no excuse)!!!

But enough now, as of monday 12th April I am back to

100% Vanilla No S

With last year's lifestyle changes, my weight has been drifting up (slowly, slowly, but clearly). Need to address that, so this is a good time for some declarations.

First, back to Vanilla No-S - the "comically strict" version. I tend to blur the edges over time, and I can't afford to right now.

AND - looking to add more exercise/activity into the day. I sit too dang much, and it's affecting my weight and physical comfort (I'm prone to repetitive stress issues).
