so at lunch today, i got caught up talking and didn't have time to eat (lunch break at work) all my food. this really sucks! i've been hungry since 4 or so (still at work). now i'm home and thinking about fixing dinner earlier than usual.

Anyway... so is finishing your lunch later snacking? part of me says it is and part isn't. My leftovers were part of my plate, not extra food.

thanks!

Snacking isn't "what", it's "when." Even though it was part of your lunch, it's snacking several hours later. Sorry! :( However, there are times when situations like that can't be avoided. Just do what you have to do and move on.

Since you've made it to 4, it's probably preferable to have an early dinner.

Personally, a few times when I could not finish my lunch at the allotted time, but could an hour later, I have finished and not called it a failure. But much later than that and I've just pushed to wait and perhaps eaten dinner a little earlier. I don't have any qualms about tiding myself over with milky coffee or some soup broth I keep in the fridge. My reading of the rules is just don't chew between meals.
