Welcome back! Good luck, and I hope you'll come to see the unstructured nature of NoS as a feature rather than a bug, to use Reinhard's software-inflection language.

Well, if there's any consolation, you are starting at a lower BMI than I am at after 8 months! But, we all start where we are. Personally, I think I did learn some habits from dieting that have stood me in good stead on No S. I tend to have half my volume of lunch and dinner in veggies and fruits (From Volumetrics and The Zone), and I learned to have some good fats at most meals (from the Omega Diet). But No S is definitely the lynchpin. Surrender, Dorothy! When you really get that you have no other viable options beside dieting or overeating, No S gets a lot easier to stick to. Now let's have dinner!

Oolala53, thanks for the welcome! Yes, I'm technically only about 5 lbs overweight for my height and my doc is fine with my weight, but considering my chronic illnesses that cause a lot of fatigue, the less I have to drag around, the better!

I also find that when I eat less often I have more energy. Digesting all day seems to slow me down.
