Goal for the rest of 2010

My plan is to do No S, and 20,000 steps per day until the new year. I have also added in Callanetics (just started this yesterday). Today is Day 9 of my challenge to myself.
So there you have it - my goal...in black and white for the world to see!
BTW does anyone find it easier to avoid S days entirely? I just love the no-snacking and it seems that having an S day will undo the habits...?
I love this board. I don't post here often but I read posts all the time. I always come away with some great idea or inspiration.
Thanks!

Good luck with your goals.
I think going without S days (or S events) is a bad idea. They're a release valve. Remember, S days aren't meant to be a license to go wild, just a time to relax and enjoy yourself. No worries. No guilt.
Personally, I think there are no more than 6 S days yearly when going wild is permissible.

I agree with wosnes that you ought not to "give" up S-days. They are the chance to do/eat/behave the way you want to/will find ENJOYABLE. Frankly, I don't WANT to pig out every weekend. I rarely snack on S days--that ruins my appetite for my meals. My weekend S days don't look a whole lot different from my N days MOST OF THE TIME except that I will have a cookie or two and a nice dessert on Sunday. Not because of new rules that I've made up, but because that really, truly is what I want and enjoy. My S days look most different on family birthdays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas because our whole day follows a different rhythm on those very special days.
HTH,

Along with several other members, I use my Individual Daily Check-in Thread
to post on-point personal comments and helpful or inspirational quotes.
These are posts that may be helpful to seek out and read.
Since these are "personal" and not "general" Threads,
If a reader feels a need to make a lengthy or negative comment
about a past-post read in a Daily Check-In Thread,
.....(in order not to "Hi-Jack" that Individual's Thread)....
these responsive comments can be made by PM (personal message) to that Individual member,
OR a New Topic can be started on the subject here in the General Thread,
which will invite unlimited comments on the subject from all forum members.

I don't think it's possible for anyone except John the Baptist hermit types to give up S-days entirely. No desserts, EVER? That doesn't sound realistic -- or even desirable. Even if you could pull it off, my bet is you'd be kind of miserable doing it.
There are lots of tweaks you could make that address this concern short of totally giving up S-days. For some specific suggestions, take a look at the "mods and tweaks" podcast episodes and discussion threads and "S-days gone wild."

Best of luck, whatever you decide,
