I'm in. I'm on my second go-round (did No-S about 2 years ago) and I'm so burned out on diets that I don't want to add any more rules to this very simple system. Per my post today, though, I had a rather depressing S weekend, so I might somewhat modify that after a while....we'll see how next weekend goes.

I AM IN.....
VANILLA NO S with exercise Monday - Saturday
11: SUCCESS plus 1 hour of cardio
12: SUCCESS but no exercise....too tired
13: SUCCESS plus an hour of cardio
14: FAIL: I totally know that when I am PMS'd and there is choc. around, that I will probably eat it....dang it.
15: FAILURE ALSO...Going out of town tonight for a girls weekend....started my S days too soon.
16: S DAY: Went for a run this morning and did a lot of walking around. Still feel that I ate too much though
17: S Day....yuck food....why do I keep eating? Looking forward to the rest of the month being green :)
18: SUCCESS plus one hour of cardio/weight lifting.

In, though weekends are my biggest issue. However, I did have several red days at the end of September. I was reminded on a podcast that mods are not in order until I've had several weeks again of compliance. And I'm exercising now, so theoretically I shouldn't be messing with S days. We'll see what happens. I'd so like to be about 7 lbs. (or more) down consistently by Christmas. Actually, I'd like to be down 15, but let's be reasonable.

My only NWS day this month was the 1st, for Simchat Torah (a Jewish holiday). My only mod is that days begin at dinner time for me. About ten hours to go till my S days start! (Dinner is usually pretty late in our household)

So far so good. I'd like to make this my first month with no red days.

Technically, I've been Vanilla No S, though I ate more on the weekend than I hoped to, but less than on some others. Just had a cookie with my breakfast.

If I make it to dinner time tonight, I will have done it- my first month with no red days. And I can have dinner pretty much when I want to, because my husband's away.

"Vanilla NoS" is a term people use to describe sticking to the basic plan: no snacks, no sweets, no seconds, except on days starting with S. That is, "vanilla" includes no extra exceptions, and no extra restrictions. (No "mods", to introduce another term you may see, short for "modifications", and coming from a similar usage in computer software.)

Oh, then I guess I have been vanilla since I started. LOL!

Thanks, DaveMc.
