menopause

I would like to know if it is common to gain weight as one goes through menopause. I am in the middle of it all now. I am finding it harder to lose weight. What are the experinces of others?

It's probably more common than it is uncommon to gain weight at menopause. I'm not so sure that it always has its roots in menopause. I noticed that I was less active than I'd been previously. My job responsibilities had changed and I was less active at work. I wasn't chasing after kids. It all adds up.
