When Will I Ever Learn?

Here I am again! I just spent two weeks trying my hardest to do the A***** diet. The scale was beginning to budge faster than normal, but I soon became really tired of eggs! I even tried some new recipes, but this was a lot of trouble! Anyway, I realized once again that it was silly to try to follow a diet that I could not stick with for good. I need to begin the Nos and stay with it! I have been very hard on myself because I am five years post RNY. I lost down to 126 pounds, but that only lasted about a minute! I soon climbed my way back to 200 lbs! My beginning weight was 322 lbs. Although I still have lost a lot, I really am upset with myself gaining up to 200 lbs. Would it be best I begin right now, or would it be better to wait until the day after Christmas? Also, should I try not to do all three at one time? Such as no sugar, no snacks, no seconds?
Thanks for listening to me rant!!!

1) Start now. You will enjoy Christmas more, I promise.

2) Most people try to implement all three habits at once. If you find it more challenging than you can endure, you can phase them in. (I had one snack that was very difficult for me to drop, so did everything but that - but limited it - and gradually got rid of it.)

Unsolicited advice:
- Get the book and read it. Yes, most of it is one the website, but it's nice to have an actual copy of the book.
- Read "The phases of No-S" stickied above and look at the resources indicated for Phase I. (Disclaimer - I wrote that post, so am slightly biased in thinking it is of value. But I'm referring you to it to save myself a ton of typing. :) )

Best wishes!

It's no sweets, not no sugar. There's a difference. You don't have to comb nutrition labels looking for sugar (as you may have done on Atkins). Just avoid things (other than fruit with nothing else added) that are sweet enough that you would feel bad or silly having them as a non-dessert part of a meal.

I recommend the HabitCal, hokey as it seemed to me at first. Some people prefer a daily check-in thread. Tracking your compliance with the diet every day does seem to help.
