Reasons other than weight loss for doing No S

Post by Blithe Morning » Sat Jan 22, 2011 11:46 pm

Several conversations on this board have gotten me to thinking about reasons for doing No S other than weight loss. I know a lot of this is in the book, but it's good to unpack those reasons, shake them out and take a look to see how they fit us.

So these are mine:
  • It's a sensible and sane way to relate to food, leaving me the emotional energy to do other things.
  • It requires me to be an adult, trusting me with the specifics to make good choices. I appreciate the hat tip of respect.
  • I enjoy food a lot more!
  • It seems to attract an especially high class of adherent.

And it saves money! Those 100 snack packs are pricey!

2. A sustainable, moderate lifestyle without deprivation
3. Fun on weekends :D
