question about juicing

ok so I am new here and I have been looking through the old posts. One post had mentioned that if you ABSOLUTELY HAD to put somthing in your gut between meals, it would be ok to have a glass of milk or juice. I was at the store today and was going to pick up some V-8 to have on hand just in case I found myself in that situation. BUT my doctor has been on me to cut out as much sodium as possible cuz my BP is sky high....so, instead of getting the V-8 I picked up some beautiful organic carrots and kale. I have a juicer and have made this combo before and find it to be quite delicious (no, really!) AND it is very high in iron and calcium, 2 nutrients I have a lot of trouble getting the RDA (I also take Rx vitamins)...so, my question to you experienced nosdieters, is this homemade juice concoction ok to drink between meals if needed?
TIA
