Weight Watchers called me and I said...

Post by gettheweightoff » Thu Feb 03, 2011 10:36 pm

So I get a call this afternoon from Weight Watchers saying that I haven't been there in awhile (I believe it was December before they changed the program) and asking if they will be seeing me to which I said "no, i don't think so".

There was a pause on the phone and I don't think the lady knew what to say but then she just said "ok" in a weird tone.

I felt so good. I found No-s. Why do I need to pay $18.07 each week to drive myself insane with points, think about food constantly and eat 2 point crap all day long. NO THANKS.

Ha ! Ha! Great story!! Good for you, Nicole! As you know i got a similar call earlier in the week from a well known slimming club... I tried ignoring the call(s) but guilt got the better of me - the gal who works there is really nice, so I called them up and politely told them i wasn't interested right now. (as in never again). So far, I haven't heard anything back from them which is good. Deep down though, a part of me is saying I don't want to totally burn my bridges with them incase I DO need to go back at a later date! Now how crazy is that? I guess i still have a bit of work to do on getting rid of my 'diet head'!!

Good for you, Nicole!

The same thing happened to me a nervous kind of oh no, what if I need them later but I know that I don't and I know from experience that I'll just gain back whatever I lose at WW and I don't want to count points for the rest of my life.

Hahaha! I wish they would call me -- I've been dying to say, "Sorry. I've decided to stop dieting and start living!" LOL. :)

Good for you!

I too am an ex-weightwatchers-point-accountant. Woo hoo! That plan only makes me think MORE about food, which is the whole problem in the first place.
I guess this doesn't work unless you actually do it.
Please pray for me

Just saw a WW commercial as I was doing my daily check-in. Haha! None for me, thank you!

I'm surprised anyone worries about burning bridges. I doubt they would turn down your checks, if you decided to return!

What is interesting to me is when I look at some people's daily check in threads on which they write what they eat, it seems to me they are choosing to eat just about as little as they would have to on WW. But they're the ones determining it. I guess that's part of it.

I'm sure it is. But only part. The mental difference is night and day.

That's great!
