PLEASE - Don't let me give up this time!

I'm baaaack! I was down 20 pounds all the way until Christmas, and then it went down-hill from there. I've gained almost all of it back in just a few months. I've become a professional perma-snacker. Eating so many sweets and often until I am completely stuffed. The insanity HAS to end NOW. No kidding.
So tomorrow it's back to No S. I was doing well with 3 regular meals and one smaller meal of fruit and a bit of protein. Also, I vow to do a minimum 14 minutes of exercise on my non-Zumba days (starting today).
I am going to start a new journal on here. Hopefully that will keep me accountable. I'm just so darn embarrassed for letting the old habits come back with a vengeance, and for getting so huge (again).
Thanks for your support. This is a terrific group you have going here!

Welcome back, and best of luck!
And though it may be a bit trite to point it out, I feel I should: there's only one person who can make you stick with this, and it isn't any of the rest of us.

So true, DaveMc! I feel that I'm ready to embrace this lifestyle for good this time. I've just finished my lunch & boy, did it taste so good. I've been reading up a lot on the French culture and I love how passionate they are about their food. But I notice that they have long stretches between their meals and no snacking. I want that same passion about eating again. Thanks for welcoming me back everyone!

You are officially not allowed to give up. Don't even try.

Ha ha - I am SO printing out your response, Reinhard! Hearing this directly from you means a lot to me. I'll stick one copy of my fridge and another on my vision board at work. Thanks

Gina: You can do it!!! just remind yourself that the food will always be there! and that will make things taste even better!
also, don't beat yourself up about exercising every day (my own opinion) if you set yourself up with too high of a standard, you may feel really bummed if you don't succeed (this is how I am) and then you may set yourself up to turn to food for comfort when things don't go "as planned". I am trying really hard to exercise daily, but sometimes life just gets in the way, and I have NO time, so I set a goal to do it, but I don't beat myself up if I don't (actually, my goal is 3xs a week, this way, I try to start on Monday and do it each day-- you know, to get "it over with" but come Thursday, I am in a rhythm and I want to do it that day, so I end up doing it more than I planned, and I end up being pleased with having accomplished my goal (and above))

Welcome back. Support is here for you,
but staying or going will always be your own personal choice,
just the same as your choice as to whether or not you will overeat.
