Hello and how is everybody? I have the pleasure of working in a public Library and one of my patrons borrowed this book and when she returned it, I got nosy and started flipping through it. I have not returned the book yet, I'm hooked!

I had done Weight Watchers about 5 yrs ago and lost 86 lbs, but while on maintenance I had a few family emergencies and the weight creeped back on. This diet/lifestyle is a Godsend, because I am pretty ok during the day, but evenings are the worst for me in snacking.

So far though, I only had one evening where I snacked badly. It was one of those things that escalated out of control. Bad junky dinner, made me crave more junk.

So here I am, almost two weeks in and am thrilled that there is a support group online that I don't have to pay to join, lol.

WELCOME 8)

I have done WW, I think like 5 times. I can usually loose the weight, but it always comes back!!! Plus, it does nothing to help my obsessive thoughts regarding food and me.

Quite the opposite with No S. No worrying about food. Get to have my weekends. AND the bonus of; all this support for no $$$. Its perfect. I hope you find it as wonderful as I do.

Hello and Welcome....

This is a wonderful plan and a great group to post with, very supportive, friendly and fun

Speaking of $$$$, I quickly became aware that I was the person eating most of the snacks as I didn't have to buy them nearly as often anymore, walking down the aisles of the store and not having to buy chips, cookies, candy, ice cream, snack cakes, etc. saves a lot of money which is better spent on fresh fruits and veggies.

Good luck,

Thank you both for the wonderful welcome! :)

I am really looking forward to doing the No S diet on a regular basis, I think as long as I can control my snacking, I should be able to lose weight.

Welcome Marolua! (I totally agree that this wonderfully supportive -- and free! -- community is a huge benefit of No S. The prospect of having to fork over the weekly $$$ to WW got old pretty quickly for me, too. )

Welcome! I think you'll find that if you really stick to the rules, eventually emergencies will not make a difference. It won't matter what the situation is or the food available or the emotions felt. When it's mealtime, you eat and when it's not, you don't. The fewer random decisions you have to make, the fewer bad choices you can make. And there'll be less struggle than you think.

Thank you NoSRocks!

oolala53, that's what I'm hoping for, and for a good community, like this one, to help through future emergences. :)

Grammy G, thanks....That is exactly what I need, nice and simple, nothing my poor little brain has to calculate when it is in worry mode. :)
