So I'm a spark person and am to the point where I need to be set free from logging and playing with staying in a range..eating just to eat to meet my quota..I tried this yesterday and today so far and I feel like this makes sense. How long did it take most of you to be comfortable with it.

I'm also a little confused for S days, I still need to eat my 3 squares and have either a snack, sugar, but not both..

Thanks...

Any directions would be great. I do have the book on my kindle.

To get comfortable, it takes people anywhere from right away to having it be easy to failing completely and coming back after a year or two!

The idea about the weekends is you don't worry about it. If no rules triggers binge-like behavior, some people decide to self-impose a moderate restriction, like snacking only between lunch and dinner, or one treat, or two treats, or having seconds at dinner or whatever.

It didn't take me long to get comfortable with the regime, but then I've never been one for dieting so I didn't exactly switch from something else. Saying that I've been doing it for about 3 months now and still have regular 'failures' - days when I snack, or reach for something sweet.

S days are days where the rules don't apply - however the 'sometimes' (as in 'except sometimes on days that begin with S') often gets forgotten. Basically it means that you can have any of the 'S's' on weekends. Some people have no rules whatsoever, some have a few. Quite a few people try and stick to the 3 meals a day routine but allow themselves treats as well on S days. I'd suggest focusing on the N days first and worrying about S days later :)
