What would it do? Habitcal?

Yes, Habitcal would be great as an IPhone app. You could also have little messages which appear from time to time to motivate you, eg if you just completed a month of Vanilla No-S. A weight loss graph would also be great. Anyway, that's my dream ;-)

Or there could be a food diary with a space to mark red, yellow or green at the end of each day. Sorry, I am getting carried away here. I treat my iPhone like my second brain! R

Reinhard has been working on a habitcal for the iPhone/iPod. It's just not finished yet. See this post:

Ah I see. This has been in the pipeline for a while now by the looks of things. I can't wait till it's available. Maybe I will stick to NoS then ;-) Maybe I have to stop making excuses too!

Yeah, I'm really sorry this is taking so long. It's just so hard to find time to diddle with it.

I think I made a resolution in 2011 to have the app ready this year... so 33 days left! (would be nice to have it for the fresh crop of 2012 new year's newbies)

Maybe I'll make a new habitcal habit for just December 2011: work on the habitcal app every n-day until it's done. :-)

Actually I think I will do that!

So far I've been green every N-day...

Why didn't I think of this habitcal for habitcal idea sooner? :-)

On a semi-related note, my 7 year old daughter has been using the habitcal for piano practice. It's been stunningly effective. She loves ticking in those green boxes. It's been a great "usability study" to watch how she does it, too.

This is kinda sorta working now:

https://everydaysystems.com/habitcal/m

Three (temporary) caveats:

1. add/create new habit don't work, so you'll have to do those in the regular website interface for now.

2. it only works in "portrait" orientation. I have some ideas as to what it should do in landscape orientation but haven't implemented them yet.

3. it doesn't remember your login between sessions which is really annoying on mobile devices because retyping is such a pain.

Please let me know if you have questions/comments/suggestions.

Reinhard
