Having said that I've been thinking about what I need to do to help me feel like as far as the weight loss goes, I'm still making progress. I'm increasing my exercise and I just started to use a nifty web tool called LoseIt which helps me (gasp) count calories. Now before you throw me off the island...here is my reasoning.
When I ran across this tool, I thought "Wow, this will make it easy to see if what I'm putting on my 3 plates is still too much for me, calorie wise, to sustain steady weight loss. I decided to give it a whirl. Come to find to find out, I'm doing pretty well, (Thanks NoS) but I found there is definitely room for improvement. Once I put in my current weight, height, age, gender, and how much a week I want to lose, it calculated my daily calorie needs to accomplish my goal. I'm shooting for 1/2 lb a week. It's all very customizable so that's nice. What I like is this is not someone else telling me what to do, rather it's just a goal setting tool and I set the parameters. So I can still do NoS no problem. According to my stats, if I stay within my calorie budget I should be at my goal weight by mid July. Nothing else to do now except keep on NoS, eat the foods I like, moderate my portions a bit and getting my walks in. The site has an app too! So it's super easy to enter what I eat and let it do the math.
I realize this will be too diet-like for many folks, and that's cool, but I thought I'd share just in case it's something helpful to someone else.
Ok, now you can throw me off the island...
